Embark on a captivating journey into the heart of the stunning Son Tra Peninsula with our full-day nature expedition, departing from Đà Nẵng and Hội An. Departing at dawn, you’ll enter the forest at first light, picked up by our expert wildlife and natural history guide and a private driver. Your scenic drive to the mountain peak provides a panoramic view from 696m above sea level. You’ll then explore our secret trails through Monkey Pass, searching for the critically endangered Red-shanked Douc Langur. Spend the morning observing these magnificent primates as they feed and interact within their family groups. Along the way, spot unique avian life such as the Greater Coucal, Green-billed Malkoha, Oriental Honey Buzzard, Crested Goshawk, Blue-tailed Bee-eater, Green-eared Barbet, Greater Racket-tailed Drongo, Red-whiskered Bulbul, Radde’s Warbler, Oriental Magpie Robin, Indochinese Blue Flycatcher, Blue Rock Thrush, Crimson Sunbird and many more. Son Tra is a wildlife watching haven in central Vietnam, home to rare species like the Pygmy Slow Loris, King Cobra, Sunda Pangolin, and Leopard Cat. After exploring Monkey Pass, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at an authentic restaurant, far from tourist groups. Post-lunch, take a scenic drive along the southeast coast of the peninsula, stopping to admire the Indochinese Rhesus Macaques along the roads and coastal jungle. The final stop is a deep forest walk to the Cây Đa Ngàn Năm, the famous Thousand-Year Banyan Tree, with its sprawling roots and enormous canopy, arguably the most spectacular natural spectacle in the region.
Concluding with a stunning sunset view from the peninsula, we’ll return you to your accommodation. Perfect for wildlife watchers, nature lovers, hikers, photographers, and adventurers alike.

Son Tra NP has an extraordinary number of animal and plant species many of which are endemic to central Vietnam or eastern Indochina. This includes over 1,200 different species of plants, 210 species of bird, 25 species of amphibian, 40 species of reptile, 180 species of butterflies & moths, and countless fish, gastropods, spiders, beetles and other insects. On our day tours, we will endevour to show you as many of the key species as possible.
