Long time no see! Welcome back to our Meet Our Team series for 2026!

We are back, and we brought someone great with us. Meet Hiền Trang, our new Executive Assistant Manager at Next Continent. Experienced, quick mind, and always eager to learn, she slotted into the team like she had never not been here.

Welcome to the Next Continent family, Trang. We are so glad to have you with us.

But enough from us. Let’s hear it straight from Trang in today’s Q&A!

Meet Hiền Trang, Executive Assistant Manager at Next Continent

Hương Giang (HG): Can you tell us a little about yourself and where you’re from?
Hiền Trang (HT):
Hi, I’m Hiền Trang and currently working as Executive Assistant Manager at Next Continent.
I was born and raised in Thanh Hóa, the northernmost province of Central Vietnam. Growing up there gave me a bit of both worlds: raised with Northern family values, but surrounded by the culture and way of life of Central Vietnam.

Honestly, I have always loved that mix.

Hương Giang (HG): What drew you to join the Next Continent?
Hiền Trang (HT): I have been involved in community organisations and running community projects aligned with the SDGs since I was around 19.

For me, living responsibly and playing an active role in solving shared problems is simply part of being a good citizen. I have always tried to find work that connects that personal value with something that also pays the bills.

Next Continent showed me that those two things do not have to be separate. It is a genuinely sustainable business model, one that generates profit, creates jobs for local people, and, at the same time, builds real awareness of conservation. And it is not just talk.

The work here actually contributes to it!

To better understand every aspect of our guest experience, Hiền Trang joined our morning Hoi An Birding Cruise in Hoi An, Da Nang. By accompanying guide Thanh Phan and our guest in the field, she experienced first hand how our tours are delivered, from guiding techniques to guest interaction and wildlife observation.

Hương Giang (HG): What’s your role here, and what are you most excited about doing?
Hiền Trang (HT): My role is Executive Assistant Manager at Next Continent.

All in all, I have been working as an assistant for around, uhhh… five years. I always say the job picks you, not the other way around. (jk… kind of.)

In short, I am the link that supports the management board in keeping everything running smoothly. My job is to save the CEO as much time as possible on day to day tasks, so they can focus on what really matters: improving, optimising, and growing the business.
What I love most about this role is the exposure. I get to develop my thinking around organisation and operations, and I have access to virtually every department, which means I am constantly learning across the board, from research and service development to finance, HR, legal and admin, partnerships, and beyond.

Hương Giang (HG): If you could choose one Next Continent tour to go on, which one would it be and why?
Hiền Trang (HT): An owl tour, without a doubt.

I have loved owls ever since Hedwig in Harry Potter, and honestly, there is something about their eyes that I just cannot get over.

They look so wise and scholarly. Like tiny little professors!

Hương Giang (HG): Any fun facts about yourself that people might be surprised to learn?
Hiền Trang (HT): My memory is terrible.

I forget pretty much everything after a certain point, which is ironic given my job.

People who know me outside of work are always surprised because at work I come across as very put together, but in real life I am honestly a bit of a scatterbrain 😉

Hương Giang (HG): What do you think is the most surprising thing you’ve learned or experienced since joining Next Continent?
Hiền Trang (HT): Everyone’s passion for wildlife and their constant curiosity about learning.

I have always been more of a plant person myself, drawn to that quieter, calmer energy that nature has. But after just a few months here, animals have started to grow on me too.

The team’s enthusiasm is genuinely contagious, and that is saying something, because I am famously the least patient person when it comes to anything that moves.

Hương Giang (HG): That’s a wrap on our chat with Hiền Trang!

Thank you for being so open and wonderfully honest with us, especially the part about forgetting everything. We are very glad the job picked you, Trang.
