GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Center has signed a two-year partnership (January 2026–December 2027) with Next Continent and other local partners to protect the Grey-shanked Douc in Tam My Commune, Da Nang. The project is part of the “Tam My Community Forest” initiative and links wildlife conservation with sustainable ecotourism.
Around 75~ Grey-shanked Douc Langur live in Tam My. This small population is a rare and valuable part of Vietnam’s biodiversity. Through responsible wildlife tourism, the partnership aims to protect the species while supporting local livelihoods.

Key goals include:
- Training local community members to run responsible ecotourism activities
- Following strict wildlife-friendly tourism principles
- Avoiding negative impacts on the douc population and forest biodiversity
- Funding local conservation efforts
This collaboration shows how community-based ecotourism in Vietnam can support both biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in Da Nang.
Next Continent look forward to continuing our specialist tours, Grey-shanked Douc Langur: 1-Day Primate Tour and our very popular Kingdom of the Doucs: 2-Day Primate Photography Tour with our respected partners GreenViet.
