Led entirely in Vietnamese by passionate local guides from the Next Continent team, these walks aren’t just outings but a chance to be up close and personal with the wonder of Son Tra.

Iconic Wildlife: Search for the extremely rare and photogenic Red-shanked Douc Langur, an endemic primate species found only in this part of the world. Itinerary
5:15 AM – Gather & Prepare
Arrive at the meeting point, meet your tour guide and other group members. Check necessary equipment and warm up before the journey.
5:25 AM – Welcome & Introduction
Listen to an overview of Son Tra and learn the importance of the ecosystem here and the purpose of the trip.
5:30 AM – Start the journey of discovery
— Walk through the forest paths, learn about the diverse vegetation and the primary forest ecosystem.
— Observe birds, butterflies and if you are lucky, you can encounter the Red-shanked Douc Langur, a rare primate of the peninsula.
— Listen to interesting stories about the history, culture and conservation of Son Tra from the tour guide.
7:00 AM – End of the journey & return to the starting point
End the experience with memorable memories, take the opportunity to take photos and share your feelings before saying goodbye to Son Tra

- Good outdoor clothes, a hat and walking shoes. Always check the weather and weather a jumper or extra layers if cold

Where Do We Meet?
You can meet our team at the gate in Son Tra (details will be emailed to you) or you can meet our assistance guide at the bottom of the mountain and they’ll lead you to the gate in time for the tour to start
What Should We Expect To See?
Every walk is different! Sometimes we have lots of Red-shanked Doucs, sometimes lots of birds, sometimes spectacular flowers and sometimes huge numbers of tropical butterflies! Experience the mountain from every angle as you hear birdsong, smell the flowers, feel the touch of the plants and take in all the spectacular scenery. We always strive our best to show you as much of what makes this mountain amazing.
Who Is This Outing Suitable For?
For everyone who wants to learn about nature! We are open to all ages, but typically recommend ages 7 and older.
What Happens In Bad Weather?
We will postpone our outings when the weather is too wet or unsafe for us to run the walk. To make it easier, we will move your booking to the next available date.
