Meet Our Guide: Diệp Tùng

Our 两栖爬行动物寻觅之旅 are among the most popular experiences we lead here at Next Continent. And a BIG part of that success comes down to Tung, our expert herping guide!

Meet Our Guide: Diep Tung

From the moment you meet Tung, his curiosity will immediately pull you in. He listens, asks questions, shares insights, and (most importantly) finds you some of the most spectacular animals around!

Tung’s journey to becoming a herping guide wasn’t exactly straightforward. After finishing high school, he jumped into the working world, taking on all sorts of jobs, from restaurant serving, auto repairing, delivering, to even trading used refrigerators and washing machines. At first glance, none of these seem connected to wildlife guiding. But they have shaped him into the determined, adaptable, professional and endlessly curious person he is today.

His love for reptiles and amphibians started simply with pictures and names. But that wasn’t enough, he wanted to see them in the wild, understand their behaviour and breeding biology, and capture their unique beauty through photography. And thus, his herping adventures began!

Now, many years on into his journey, Tung has met like-minded adventurers, developed a dedicated herping Instagram space, and developed his passion for photography, conservation and discovery.

Whether you’re a seasoned herper or a first-timer, his passion makes every sighting feel like a discovery. With Tung, there’s no rush, only the thrill of adventure and the chance to see Vietnam’s incredible herpetofauna up close. So, get in touch today and let him show you why Vietnam is a top destination for reptile and amphibian enthusiasts!
