    5. Recommendations:<\/span> For butterfly watching in S\u01a1n Tr\u00e0, the morning is the best time, as activity is highest between 7:00 and 11:00 AM. Moving at a slow pace is important, since many species rest low to the ground or on damp patches when undisturbed. Using butterfly lures such as fermented fruit and sugar water can also increase the chances of attracting rarer species. Since S\u01a1n Tr\u00e0 often provides unexpected highlights like primates and forest birds, guests are encouraged to stay alert for other wildlife as well! To enjoy the walk comfortably, light clothing, good walking shoes, a hat, and plenty of drinking water are recommended.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Forest and Habitat: S\u01a1n Tr\u00e0 Nature Reserve is a low-elevation coastal peninsula near \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng, covered in evergreen and secondary forest. The habitat is very diverse with a mix of scrub, dense forest, and coastal edge, which supports a wide range of wildlife. It is known as a strong site for butterflies, but also holds interesting mammals and birds.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

      Detailed Tour Report:<\/b><\/h2>\n

      The day began with pick-up from the guests\u2019 accommodation and arrival at the gate around 7:00 AM. From there, we began a slow forest walk, focusing on butterfly activity along the roadside. The guide also set out butterfly lures (fermented water, rotting fruit, and sugar water), which helped attract several species.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Activity was good during the first part of the walk, especially in sunny gaps where species were sunny themselves. Large swallowtails were the most obvious: <\/span>Common Rose, Black and White Helen, Paris Peacock, Great Mormon, <\/b>and <\/span>Common Swallowtail<\/b>. We also saw <\/span>Chocolate Tiger, Blue Glassy Tiger, Ceylon Blue Glassy Tiger,<\/b> and <\/span>Common Grass Yellow<\/b>. Later in the morning we added <\/span>White-edged Blue Baron, Studded Sergeant, Gaudy Baron, Rustic, <\/b>and <\/span>Golden Birdwing. <\/b>Smaller butterflies included<\/span> Typical Blues, <\/b>several<\/span> Branded Swift<\/b> species, and <\/span>Common Earl.<\/b><\/p>\n
